Madison Area YMCA Announces Travel Basketball Tryouts

The Madison Area YMCA, 111 Kings Road, Madison, will be holding travel basketball team open tryouts for prospective players ages 10-14 who are interested in a competitive basketball program for the Fall 2011 season.  The dates for both U-12 and U-14 tryouts are Thursday, October 20; Sunday, October 23; Tuesday, October 25; and Thursday, October 27.  Times on Tuesday and Thursday tryout dates are 6:15-7:45pm for U-12, and 7:45-9:15pm for U-14 prospective players and times for the Sunday tryout date is 5:00-6:30pm for U-12, and 6:30-8:00pm for U-14 prospective players.  Tryouts will be held at the Madison Area YMCA Family Center Gym.  Prospective players should plan to attend at least 2 of the 4 dates and bring their birth certificate to the first session they attend.  Pre-registration is not required.  For participation in the U-12 team, birth date must be on or after Sept 1, 1999. For participation in the U-14 team, birth date must be on or after Sept 1, 1997.
