MENDHAM, NJ  - Junior guard Shea Matta scored all of her career-high 13 points in the second half, leading Chatham to a 45-40 girls basketball victory over Mendham on Friday.

Matta, who was on crutches this week with a badly bruised leg, scored 10 points in the third quarter to fuel a 15-3 surge by Chatham (7-4), which handed the Lady Cougars a 37-26 lead heading into the final quarter.

Senior point guard Natalie Washuta collected nine points and eight assists for Chatham, which received nine points from Colleen Mulvaney and eight from Emily Walczyk. Michelle Stanton led Mendham (5-7) with 10 points.
