Mayor Thanks Chatham for the Honor of Serving

Tomorrow is Election Day, and with my future uncertain, I feel it necessary to offer my humble thanks to those who have worked with me
and supported me these past four years.

Having grown up in Chatham, and having lived here for the past 61 years, it was a great honor to be elected mayor in 2007. From the
outset my goal was to make sure that Chatham remained a beautiful, safe and affordable town for my two sons to one day raise their
children in.

The past several years have been full of challenges. Yet every step of the way our town was able to move forward together, due to the
dedication and hardwork of our Borough employees and the many volunteers who support our emergency services and recreation programs.

To these individuals who have gone above and beyond for Chatham, as your mayor and lifelong neighbor, I want to say thank you.

Mayor Nelson Vaughan

P.S. Tomorrow is Election Day and the polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please remember to vote.

Spending More Per Pupil Doesn’t Guarantee Additional or Enhanced Success

April 20, 2018

Dear Editor:

At the April 16th Board of Education meeting, Board member Sal Arnuk stated: “I am ashamed to see the district at the bottom of the list in per-pupil spending.”  On the contrary, Board member Arnuk should be exceedingly proud of how our Board of Education is able to consistently be ranked as the top school district in our state at the cost it currently spends per ...
