Mitchell, Vernazza Lead Chatham to 3rd at Morris County Cross-Country Championships

PARSIPPANY, NJ - Will Mitchell posted a personal record of 16:01 and Dominic Vernazza also set a personal record with a time of 16:14, leading the Chatham boys cross-country team to a third-place team finish at the Morris County championships held Tuesday at Greystone's Central Park.

Morristown was first with 65 points, followed by second-place Delbarton (85 points) and Chatham (88).

Mitchell finished fourth overall and Vernazza placed eighth. Also setting personal records for Chatham were: Grant Hauck, 26th in 16:52; Andrew Vena, 30th in16:55; Liam Hynes, 31st in 16:59; Parth Shah, 44th in 17:17; Kevin Gesell, 50th in 17:26.
