MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Chatham gave up a goal 45 seconds into the action, but Brett Montgomery followed with two unassisted goals and Will Barnett  picked up a goal and an assist to lead the Cougars past Morris Knolls, 4-1, in an ice hockey game played Tuesday at Mennen Sports Arena.

Seconds into the game, Morris Knolls took a shot that banged off the pipe before Walter Keiper connected to give Morris Knolls and early 1-0 lead. Chatham (12-2-3) tied the game at 3:22 of the first period when Colby Collier converted a feed from Barnett.

Barnett's unassisted goal, his eighth of the year, at the 4:33 mark of the second period handed Chatham a 2-1 edge. Montgomery made it 3-1 with an unassisted goal at 12:03 of the second.

In the third period, Montgomery's 12th goal of the season clinched it for the Cougars, who received 18 saves from goalie C.J. Albanese.
