The latest update.  After weeks of hard work, the Challenge is well past 1,000 masks, but more masks are needed.  Please help today!

In an effort to help protect front-line workers and your community, Library of the Chathams staff and Friends of the Library Board members are sourcing mask-making materials and delivering them to nearly 150 volunteers donating their time and talent to sew masks.  We are succeeding in creating high-quality masks to the specifications published by Atlantic Health.  The first batch was delivered to the Chatham Emergency Squad.

The Squad is sterilizing the masks and distributing them where there is urgent front-line need and appropriate uses in our community.
If you can help meet the expense of supplies for the 1,000 Masks Challenge, please help by donating online at https://chathamlibrary.org/donate-to-1000-masks-challenge/ or by sending a check to Friends of the Library of the Chathams, 214 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928.  Please note your gift is toward the 1,000 Masks Challenge.

If you would like to volunteer to sew masks, please email us at masks@chathamlibrary.org.  If you are a front-line provider organization in need of the masks, please email us at the same address.
