ALLENDALE, NJ - Abby Morgan scored her fourth goal of the game with 4:18 left to break the final tie and give Chatham to an 8-7 girls lacrosse victory over Northern Highlands on Wednesday.

Northern Highlands (1-2) had scored to tie the game at 7-7 with 5:16 left before Chatham (2-2) won the ensuing draw and Catherine McNiff fed Morgan for the winning goal.

"The girls played with a lot of composure on attack the whole game, capitalized on mistakes and didn't force anything," Chatham coach Hilary Renna said. "The defense played really well, too, and Kat Friday was a force in the goal."

Friday came up big for the Lady Cougars by registering 16 saves. Schuyler Bixby contributed two goals and three assists for Chatham, which also received a goal apiece from McNiff and Zoe Kraus. Frances Workman and Emilie de Keyzer each were credited with an assist for Chatham.
