Morris County Freeholders Meet in Chatham Township; Present Resolution to Mayor Sullivan

CHATHAM, NJ - The Board of Chosen Freeholders, Morris County, held its regular meeting in the Chatham Township Municipal Building on Wednesday night and took the occasion to present Chatham Township Mayor Kevin Sullvan with a resolution in honor of the township.

Sitting in the seats normally filled with Chatham Township Committee members, director Kathy DeFillippo, deputy director John Cesaro, and Freeholders Douglas Cabana, John Krickus, Hank Lyon, Thomas Mastrangelo and David Scapicchio conducted normal business. The Morris County Freeholders normally meet in Morristown.

"It's a good idea for the Freeholders to go out a few times a year and hold meetings in towns they represent," Sullivan said.

The Freeholders adopted 15 ordinances, approving bond ordinances to pay for varied capital projects, incluidng $3.9 million for road resurfacing in the county.

Brendan L. Keating of Chatham Borough came before the Freeholders during the public portion of the meeting to introduce himself as a Democrat candidate for election to the board of freeholders in Morris County.
