Musicians Invited to Join the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ

The Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ, a full symphonic community orchestra comprised mostly of local volunteer musicians, invites talented area residents to join us at rehearsals as we begin our 44th season. The orchestra's conductor and artistic director is Michael Stratechuk.

Rehearsals, for the first of our 3 concert series, will begin on Thursday, September 10 at Chatham Middle School, 480 Main St., Chatham, NJ. All rehearsals will run from 7:30-9:30 pm in the band room. There are openings in all string sections.

The program for the first concert will include Schubert: Overture in the Italian Style, D. 590; Vaughan Williams: Oboe Concerto; and Beethoven: Symphony No. 6 (Pastoral). The fall concert will be on Sunday, November 22 at 3:00 pm at Chatham Middle School.
