Oare Wins Two Events for Chatham Boys Track in Loss to Delbarton

Adam Oare won both the shot put and discus for Chatham Credits: TAP Chatham

CHATHAM, NJ - Senior Adam Oare won both the shot put and the discus for Chatham in its 87-53 dual meet boys track loss to Delbarton on Wednesday at Cougar Field.

Oare won the shot put with a throw of 42 feet, 1 inch and set a person record with a winning toss of 136 feet, 8 1/2 inches in the discus.

Also gaining first-place finishes for the Cougars were: Liam Cadden with a 2:04.4 time in the 800-meter run; Filip Bahunek, with a throw of 128 feet, 9 inches in the javelin; Thomas Walsh, who cleared 5 feet, 10 inches in the high jump, a personal record, and Vince Avallone with a 51.7 time in the 400-meter dash.

Others scoring for Chatham:

Ian Higgins, second in Intermediate Hurdles in 60.2 and third in high hurdles in 16.6; Sam Dennerlein, second in the shot put with a toss of 41 feet, 5 inches and second in the discus with a throw of 119 feet, 10 1/2 inches, both personal records; Aeden Joel placed third in 100 in 11.8; Vincent Avallone placed second in the 200 in 23.4; Paul Coyne finished second in the 3,200 in 10:15; Alec Gironda crossed third in the 3,200 in 10:32; Colin Petrullo place third in the long jump at 17 feet, 6 inches; Matt Saluti, second in the pole vault by clearing 10 feet, a personal record, and Bo Radaam, who ran third in the 1,600 in 4:32.
