O'Connor Notches Hat Trick for Chatham Hockey

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ -  Jack O'Connor netted three goals for a hat trick and goalie C.J. Albanese stopped a penalty shot on his way to his fifth shutout as Chatham skated past Mountain Lakes, 6-0, on Thursday at Mennen Sports Arena.

Chatham (9-0-3) dominated from the start with a 23-shot total in the first period that produced goals by Austin Pierce and O'Connor. Hunter Acone and Pierce each had an assist in the period.

O'Connor's second goal of the game early in the second period made it 3-0 for the Cougars. Ben Seitz-Sitek and Montgomery were credited with assists on the Chatham goal. Hadley Marin of Mountain Lakes was awarded a penalty shot because of a trip in the second period. Albanese blocked the shot with his glove.

Will Barnett scored on assists by Collier Colby and Mark McNally to make it 4-0 in the second period. In the third period, senior Kieran Knightly netted his first varsity goal for Chatham, which also received a goal from O'Connor to close out the scoring.
