The public is invited to Open House Month at the Senior Center of the Chathams now through the end of September. Come in to take a tour of the facility, meet the staff, talk with participants, and learn about the wide array of activities, programs, classes, and services offered. Try an exercise class like Tone & Flex and Qi Gong Tai Chi for free. Participate in Pickle Ball or Ping Pong. Sample the watercolor workshop, attend a lecture, participate in a discussion group, watch the weekly movie, or play one of the group games, like Canasta, Pinochle, or Rummikub while here.

The Senior Center of the Chathams is a 28-year old nonprofit agency which encourages the independence and well-being of seniors and their families in the greater Chatham area by connecting them with each other and the community at large. Participants do not need to be Chatham residents. In fact, many clients come from other towns in Morris, Essex, Union, and Somerset counties.

The Center’s goal is to provide a welcoming place for seniors to meet new people, interact and socialize with one another, try something new, and continue to learn new things.
