Local Mary Kay consultants are teaming up with Operation Jersey Cares, a non-profit organization that coordinates and donations and services to our troops.

During the month of June, for every donation received from residents or businesses, local Mary Kay consultants will match those donations dollar for dollar. The money will be used to send "Sunscreen kits" to the U.S. Troops overseas. So far, over $15,000 in donations has been raised for the troops, the midway point to the goal of raising $30,000, by June  30, 2015.

On Saturday, June 13th the Chatham Borough Republican Committee (CBRC) donated $300 toward that effort.

“The CBRC is proud to make this heartfelt donation to this very worthy and patriotic cause supporting our men and women in uniform," Len Resto, Vice Chair of the CBRC remarked, said. "It’s the least we can do and they are in our thoughts each and every day.  Thanks to the event’s organizers for making this effort such a success.”

Mary Lord, Senior Sales Director with Mary Kay commented,  “We are so grateful for the local support of Chatham residents and organizations who have supported us in this effort and to the volunteers of Operation New Jersey Cares who help our troops every day.
