CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham has just added a new eatery to its already impressive restaurant roster. The name of the place is Pascarella Brothers Delicatessen. This little gem of a deli is located at 34 Watchung Avenue across from Bottle King Liquor store in Chatham.

Pascarella Brothers Delicatessen is owned and operated by brothers Anthony and Gino Pascarella. Even though their establishment is the new kid on the block, Anthony and his younger brother Gino have 25 years of experience between them in the restaurant business. Anthony ran a successful restaurant in Florham Park N.J. for many years before deciding to join forces with Gino.

Gino is a Chatham native and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he majored in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. He is also active with the Chatham youth football program that includes 5th through 8th grade players. Both Gino and his brother Anthony have worked at different venues over the years before finally coming together in this venture. Gino said, "I am happy to be working with my brother Anthony in our own restaurant. We've wanted to do this for some time". Given the food and passion displayed at the Pascarella Brothers grand opening, the brothers seem to have the necessary ingredients to make sure their delicatessen stays around for everyone to enjoy for many years to come.

Even though they have been officially opened since February, the grand opening of Pascarella Brothers Delicatessen was held on Saturday, March 20th. Chatham Borough Mayor Nelson Vaughan, III joined the Pascarella brothers and a steady stream of patrons for the grand opening ceremony. Just before cutting the ribbon Mayor Vaughan proclaimed, "I tasted the best bread I ever had today!" Applause followed from the crowd.

The menu features plenty of mouth watering food. Hot and cold sand witches are made to order along with numerous wrap combinations. Fresh salads are also available. Monster subs and various soups are served regularly and there is even a kids menu. The kids menu features good, old-fashioned peanut butter and jelly along with other kid favorites that many adults would enjoy as well. Pascarella Brothers Delicatessen not only serves food on the premises but is also available for catering. There is parking both in the front and in the rear of the establishment.

Pascarella Brothers Delicatessen hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. Saturday 6:30am-5:00pm and Sunday 8:00am-1:30pm. Its Business telephone number is 973-635-3354. The delicatessen website is under construction but they do have a Facebook page.
