SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Chatham's 4x800 relay team of Andrew Vena, Kevin Gesell, Parth Shah and Dominic Vernazza broke their own school record with a time of 7:56.65 at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions held Wednesday.

Vena clocked 1:58.7; Gesell ran 1:58.9, Parth split 2:00.5 and Vernazza ran 1:58.1 to earn a 10th-place finish for the Cougars. The time was two seconds faster than the same group ran at the Group 3 state meet the previous Friday.

This marks the third time the four have teamed to break the school record over the past two years, each time on the track at South Plainfield.
