RECORD NUMBERS EXPECTED TO RUN FOR THEIR TURKEY AT THE 11TH ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DAY CHATHAM TURKEY TROT
1 Mile Family Fun Run & 5K Race Benefits First Responders and Diabetes Research and Education
Curt Ritter, President and Founder of The Chatham Turkey Trot, said, “We look forward to welcoming the nearly 1,000 runners to the 11th Annual Chatham Turkey Trot as we come together as a community to kick-off the Holiday Season. We are excited for the record number of runners from surrounding communities as we gather among family, friends, and neighbors to raise funds for the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Diabetes Research Institute, the Chatham Emergency Squad and The Barton Center for Diabetes Education.”
WHEN: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2019
WHERE: The Highlands section of Chatham Township at the corner of Seminole Way and 110 Van Houton Avenue.
REGISTER: Race Day
$30/person for all races; make checks payable to “The Chatham Turkey Trot.” View the website for important race day information on parking, restrooms, and pets.
SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – Race Day Registration/warm-ups
8:30 AM – 1 Mile Family Fun Run
9:00 AM – Program/National Anthem – USTA Certified 5K Race
9:50 AM – Award ceremony at the conclusion of the race
PHOTO-OP: The Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department will hang a 50-foot American flag from Ladder 12 (its 100 foot aerial ladder truck) above the race course as runners race through one of the most scenic neighborhoods of Chatham Township.
