Saint Patrick School is proud to announce that it has been named a recipient of the FirstEnergy STEM Classroom Grant.

The grant will fund supplies for instructional units on alternative energy sources. FirstEnergy proudly supports classroom projects and teacher professional-development initiatives focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

"We are very excited to receive the FirstEnergy STEM Grant," Dr. Christine Ross, St. Patrick School principal, said. "The funding will provide resources for students to engage in the engineering design process to explore the alternative energy sources, including solar and wind energy. As a Diocese of Paterson STEM school, Saint Patrick School focuses on providing opportunities for students to engage in critical thinking to solve real-world problems."

Saint Patrick School, accredited AdvancED, is a co-educational, parochial elementary school includes preschool through eighth grade. We have been nationally recognized as a United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, and a Diocese of Paterson Star School.  We are a STEM school that promotes student critical thinking and application throughout our curriculum in all grades.
