CHATHAM, NJ - The grassroots community group SaveNoePond is asking Chatham residents to sign up for a protest march set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.
The SaveNoePond group asked on its Facebook page for people to show their support for its "opposition to high-density development" and back efforts to preserve "Noe Pond and our local environment."
Last month, club members were notified that all club operations and activities had ceased at the Noe Pond Club with the sale completed to developers, the Silverman Group.
The message from the SaveNoePond Facebook page can be read below:
The time has come!! Join us to show your support for Noe Pond and our local environment, and to demonstrate your opposition to high-density development that will have a huge adverse impact on the local community.
