The School District of the Chathams is pleased to welcome you to First Grade Registration. We understand that this is a monumental time in a child’s life and we eagerly welcome our future First Grade students.
If your child will be age 6 on or before October 1, we ask that you complete and print the required registration forms. You may access these forms by clicking on the Registration Documentation link on The School District of the Chathams website, (www.chatham-nj.org/1reg). The completed registration forms and the state required documentation must be presented at the time of your registration appointment. To assist you in this process, please refer to the checklist below.
Registration will take place from February 6 through February 10, 2017. To schedule a registration appointment, contact Sally Moreno, District Registrar, at 973-457-2560. Appointments will take place at the Board of Education offices at 58 Meyersville Road Chatham, NJ 07928. Individual appointments will be scheduled in fifteen minute increments, so please arrive promptly.
During your registration appointment, you will be informed of the school that your child will attend in September.
Your child’s registration cannot be completed without the following:
Registration Forms (to be completed)
- School District of the Chathams Registration Form
- Instructional Support Form
- Request for Transfer of Records
- Student Health History Form
State Required Documentation (to be provided by parent or guardian)
- Immunization Records or a Letter of exemption
- Proof of Residency (any of the following will apply)
- Property lease/property deed
- (2) utility bills
- (1) utility bill and a driver’s license
