Sixth Annual Lincoln's Birthday Celebration

The Republican Club of the Chathams will host their sixth annual celebration of Lincoln's birthday on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, from 4-6 pm, at Cafe Beethoven, 252 Main Street, Chatham.  Delicious light refreshments will be served, including wine.

The event costs $20 per person.  All are welcome.

"President Abraham Lincoln was the founder of the Republican Party," said Donald Dinsmore, President of the RCC.  "Celebrating Lincoln's birthday each year is a terrific Republican tradition."

The event will include a raffle for two books, Killing Lincoln and Lincoln's Last Days, written by cable news show anchor and author Bill O'Reilly.  Raffle chances cost $1 each.

RCC members, and those who wish to become members, may pay their annual dues at the Lincoln's birthday event.  Annual dues are $20 per person.

"This is a very convenient opportunity for our members to pay their annual dues," said Dave Ramsey, RCC Treasurer.  "Every paid 2014 membership includes a free chance in the book raffle."

In addition to celebrating Lincoln's birthday, the Republican Club of theChathams hosts an annual picnic, as well as occasional Candidates' Nights, which provide an informal setting for the public to get to know Republican candidates for local public office.
