Sordillo pushed his team-leading totals for Chatham (7-3-2) to 11 goals and 10 assists, netting the first three goals of the game for the Cougars. He also added an empty-net goal and an assist in the game. Senior defender Gabriel Park contributed a goal and an assist.

Sordillo scored a goal in the first period (see below), with help from Ronan Curry and Park.

The game was tied, 1-1, entering the second period when Sordillo's power-play goal (see below) ignited a four-goal outburst by the Cougars. Declan Curry and Mahoney were credited with assists on the goal.

Just 3:22 into the second period Sordillo received a pass from Ronan Curry and finished his breakaway chance (see below) for his third goal of the game and a 3-2 Chatham lead.

Mahoney followed with a goal off a pass from Spencer Spagnuolo, pushing the Cougar lead to 4-2. The Madison goalie never saw the shot (see below) until it hit the back of the net.

Park made it a 5-2 game 5:58 into the second period when he converted a pass from Sordillo. Madison (6-8-1) scored with 20 seconds left in the second period, but Chatham goalie Jen Olnowich shut out the Dodgers the rest of the way. Olnowich ended with 18 saves.
