Melanie and the Admit U Consulting team are thrilled to be partnering this summer with College Application Camp, a five-day intensive on the campus of Montclair State University. For two weeks in August, we’ll assist rising high school seniors with finishing their applications prior to preseason and the start of school.

During his/her five days at College Application Camp, each student will complete the Common Application, write a compelling essay, create a best-fit list of schools, learn how to boost ACT or SAT scores, build their resumé, and practice interviewing—all with the help of our highly-skilled team of college counselors and writing coaches.

For many college applicants, the personal essay is the most challenging part of the application. The writing coaches at College Application Camp—all published writers with Ivy League MFAs—aim to assist students in composing meaningful essays that engage admissions readers and accomplish what no other aspect of the application can by revealing a genuine sense of the person behind the transcript and test scores.

Clearly, we found the Library and local educational opportunities to our liking.

When it came to giving back to the community, I chose to support the Library and served as a Board member for 15 ...
