Hey, husbands!  Run out of good ideas for a novel Mother’s Day gift for your bride?  Pamper her with a Glamour Makeover package, which includes a hair and makeup session, a mini-photo shoot with take-home framed photo.  Make it even more special with an optional gift card to a local restaurant, massage or wine.  All are custom packaged and wrapped beautifully for a “Truly Romantic Evening” surprise!

“Moms get busy and often don’t take time to make themselves up for special nights out,” said Christen Simmons, owner of Ray Jay Portraits, a boutique photographer in New Providence.  “Sometimes they don’t even get special nights out!  This gift package lets her be treated like a star and makes you look like a hero!”

The $175 Mother’s Day package includes a complete makeover with a custom-tailored color palette, a choice of blow outs, straightening or up dos, and a photo shoot with an instant take-home portrait and access to on-line portfolio.  Optional (but sure to be appreciated) add ons:  a gift card in any denomination for a romantic dinner.  Suggested restaurant is Gregorio’s Restaurant in Chatham, but you may select the restaurant of your choice and Simmons will assemble a special gift package.  Additional options include a Massage by Diane and/or a bottle of wine for dinner. Your custom package will be gift wrapped and available for pick up any time before Mother’s Day.  The makeover certificate may be used for a session on many available dates.

“Spoil her!” Simmons said.  “It’s nice to get pampered.  She will be ready for her special dinner date with her hair and makeup all done.”

With such a selection of gift options, you can look like a gift-giving genius, regardless of your budget.

“I loved that Christen was over prepared - she bought me current magazines, and looked through them so she could show me what I could try out, so I could study poses while she did my makeup and hair,” said Heather G. of New Providence.

Simmons gives the princess treatment to area women through the makeover arm of Ray Jay Portraits.  She also has prom and graduation packages available.  For current selection of dates available, check in with Christen at 908-263-7299 or rayjayportraits@yahoo.com.

April 20, 2018

Dear Editor:

At the April 16th Board of Education meeting, Board member Sal Arnuk stated: “I am ashamed to see the district at the bottom of the list in per-pupil spending.”  On the contrary, Board member Arnuk should be exceedingly proud of how our Board of Education is able to consistently be ranked as the top school district in our state at the cost it currently spends per ...
