Chatham, NJVolunteers from the Madison Chatham Coalition (MCC), Municipal Alliance Committee of the Chathams (MACC), law enforcement of the Chathams, Chatham Borough government and all four alcohol retailers in Chatham participated in the second Sticker Shock campaign of the year on June 24 and 25. The first one was held in February.

For the second year in a row, Bottle King and Cottage Deli and Wine in the borough and Hickory Wine Cellar and USA Wine Traders Club in the township participated in the campaign which aims to deter the sale of alcoholic beverages by adults to underage kids. The stores welcomed the group to paste more than 1,000 bright green“21 means 21” stickers on cases of beer and hard seltzer. The campaign also intended to remind teens to make healthy choices, free from drugs and alcohol.

“The Madison Chatham Coalition and the Municipal Alliance Committee of the Chathams are grateful for the support from these retailers, the Chatham Borough Police Department, the Chatham Township Police Department and Chatham Borough Council,” said MCC Director Allison Bardon.
