Still Time to Register for March Adult School Classes

The Adult School of The Chathams, Madison and Florham Park is offering a wide variety of classes during the Spring Term. There is still time to register for the following classes beginning in mid-March. When registering for more than one class, students will be charged only one single $10.00 registration fee above the tuition price.

Walking for Life: Get out of the house and beat the winter blahs. Join health and fitness instructor Carol Linhart for this five (5) week class featuring three to five mile walks on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Walks will be outdoors in all weather and emphasis will be on building endurance. Class begins on Monday, March 15 at the Chatham Middle School, 480 Main Street, Chatham. Cost is $65.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.

Everyday Savings Savvy: Expert shopping guru Adair Moore will help slash your bills for grocery items and other household essentials by half their cost. Learn proven methods to also reduce your utility bills, clothing purchases, car expenses, and more. You will save 2-3 times the cost of this class in the first month plus receive $10.00 of coupons in the handout. One session class will be held on Monday, March 15 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Chatham Middle School, 480 Main Street, Chatham. Cost is $35.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.

Beaded Jewelry for You and Your Friends: Make bracelets, necklaces, and earrings of your own design - no experience necessary. A materials fee of $20.00 for your supplies will be collected at the first class. There will also be quality tools available for purchase. Instructor is Helena Axelrod, jewelry designer and teacher. Classes will be held at Ridgedale Middle School, 71 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park for three (3) Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, beginning on March 17. Cost is $80.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.

Intermediate Wire Jewelry: Build on skills learned in introduction classes and learn new techniques. All supplies can be purchased at the first class. Instructor, Suzanne Banfield, has fifteen years experience in wire and handcrafted jewelry. Classes will be held at Madison Community House, 25 Cook Avenue, Madison on two (2) Mondays, March 15, 22 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and on two (2) Tuesdays, March 16, 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Madison High School. Cost is $30.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.

Intermediate Bridge: Reinforce and improve basic bidding and play-hand skills with Gold Life Master and ACBL Certified Bride Instructor. Classes will be held at Ridgedale Middle School, 71 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park for eight (8) Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:30 pm beginning on March 16. Cost is $105.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.

Beat Fatigue with Nutrition and Herbs: Learn how foods and herbs can help nourish the adrenals and boost daily energy levels with Laura Sullivan, Holistic Health Practitioner. One session class at Madison Junior School, 160 Main Street, Madison on Wednesday, March 17 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Cost is $25.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.

Beginning Auto CAD/Auto CAD LT: Learn fundamental drafting skills necessary for professional 2D drawing, design and drafting. This in-depth introduction will teach you the basic features and how to use precision drafting tools. A working knowledge of Windows is recommended. Instructed by staff at Pinnacle Consulting, a provider of high-quality CAD services. Computers will be provided. Classes will run for eight (8) Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the Ridgedale Middle School, 71 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, beginning on March 18. Cost is $975.00 plus $10.00 registration fee.
