Sullivan Voted Township's New Mayor; Ritter is Deputy Mayor

CHATHAM, NJ - Kevin Sullivan is the new Mayor of Chatham Township and Curt Ritter is the Deputy Mayor.

Each was appointed to their positions by a 3-2 vote at the Chatham Township Committee reorganization meeting held Friday.

Committee members Robert Gallop and Katherine Abbott were also up for mayor and deputy mayor, respectively. Bailey Brower Jr., who served as acting mayor when Nicole Hagner stepped down last month, had the swing vote.

Ritter was recently elected to fill Hagner's open seat. Hagner served on the committee for nine years, the last three as township mayor.
