CHATHAM, NJ - Resolutions that could pave the way for construction of affordable housing units on the land where the Chatham Township Skate Park is located and the rezoning of 30 acres between Hillside Avenue and River Road have not been put back on the agenda for the Thursday regular meeting of the Chatham Township Committee.

The two land development resolutions had been tabled at the Sept. 8 meeting of the Chatham Township Committee.

Resolution 2016-182 would authorize the Chatham Township Planning Board to conduct a preliminary investigation into rezoning 3.8 acres of land next to the Chatham Township Police Department. The Chatham Skate Park is located in the middle of the land being targeted for investigation.

Resolution 2016-183 would consider a rezoning request by Sterling Properties/Sun Homes, which purchased approximately 30.33 acres between Hillside Avenue and River Road.
