The Chatham Club Hosts 4th Annual StreetSquash Newark Brick City Cup

CHATHAM, NJ - Join The Chatham Club at 484 Southern Boulevard, on Saturday, June 11, 2016, as StreetSquash Newark hosts the 4th Annual StreetSquash Newark Brick City Cup.

The invitational team tournament brings together amateur squash players, pros, and StreetSquashers. This worthwhile and fun event will benefit Newark Youth StreetSquash Newark’s After School Squash and Education Programs.

Five teams will be competing for the Brick City Cup trophy after spending five months raising funds for the invitational team tournament. Each of the teams has committed to raising a minimum of $15,000 to support the expansion of StreetSquash Newark’s After School program.

Founded in July 2012 and modeled after StreetSquash, Inc. located in Harlem, NY, StreetSquash Newark is an after school youth enrichment program that combines academic support with squash instruction, college preparation, service learning, mentoring, and community engagement.

StreetSquash's mission is to provide consistent, long-term and reliable support to the children, families and schools in Newark. By exposing these children to a broad range of experiences and by maintaining the highest standards, StreetSquash Newark aims to help each child realize his or her academic and personal potential.
