The 4th Annual Jaime Pinaire’s 5K Race has gone virtual this year! To help protect our participants, Jaime Pinaire’s 5K Run/Walk – Virtual Edition will start on Saturday, October 3 and run through Sunday, October 11, 2020. Participants can run or walk on the official certified course through the Rolling Hills neighborhood, or on a 3.1 mile route of their choosing, anytime between October 3 -11. Results can then be posted online along with related photos with #jaimesrace.

Scoops, The Chatham Creamery is offering the Jaime Pinaire 5K Sundae throughout October – a delicious cup of vanilla ice cream and heath bar bits covered in hazelnut sauce and hot fudge! A great reward after finishing the 5K or any other time during the month. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation.

In June 2020, the Jaime Pinaire Award was presented to Alexandra Franz at the Chatham High School graduation. Two James A Pinaire III Awards were presented during the Robert Treat Academy graduation. These gap scholarships run for four years and will help Riyah Myrie attend the Peddie School and Sebastian Vega attend The Church Farm School. The Foundation is currently assisting nine other high school students meet their tuition requirements.

The James A. Pinaire III Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was created in memory of Jaime Pinaire, who had been a teacher at the K-8 charter school, Robert Treat Academy, in Newark, NJ. The Foundation carries on his dream of helping students realize their academic potential by providing scholarship awards to students with financial need and otherwise supporting educational efforts. Since its creation in 2015, the Foundation has awarded over
