CHATHAM, NJ - Three families needed assistance on Thursday night when their cars got stuck below the underpass on Fairmount Avenue near the train station.

"They misjudged the water level and needed help getting out of their cars," Chatham Borough Fire Chief Peter S. Gloglich said. "While we were helping one family, another car drove into the same predicament. We had six calls related to the storm last night."

According to Glogolich, one family was from Freehold and they were taken to to the fire house until they could arrange to be picked up. All three cars had to be towed.
