Father’s Day is Sunday and North Jersey is brimming with activities designed to honor all of the dads in our lives. Dad is guaranteed to love spending time with his family at any one of the area’s many festivals and fairs this coming weekend.

Bring Dad to the fair this weekend and enjoy rides, carnival games, live music, and fireworks. Food vendors will be serving up classic festival favorites such as sausage and peppers, fried zeppoles, freshly squeezed lemonades, and mouthwatering pizza. The fair is being held at Christ Church in Rockaway from June 15-18 starting at 12 pm.

Spring Fine Arts and Crafts Show

Brookdale Park in Montclair/Bloomfield will be hosting a spring craft show running June 17 to June 18. The event begins at 10 am and runs rain or shine. Over 160 artists and crafters are expected to display their works and make items available for purchase. Food will be served throughout the event.

Metuchen Junebug ArtFest

Another art festival this weekend will take place in Metuchen on Main Street. The street will close down to allow for live demonstrations of art. The event is from 6 pm to 10 pm on Saturday and will include a kids area and live musical acts. The kids area will have live versions of Candyland, a pop up selfie station, face painting, and interactive sculpture making. There will be a food grove to grab a bite in and drink specials at the Novita Wine Bar.

Nutley Father's Day Street Fair

On Franklin Avenue in Nutley, the town will be hosting a street fair in recognition of Father’s Day. The street fair’s hours on Sunday are from 10 am to 5 pm. There will be plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy: a crafting corner, sand art stands, face painting, pony rides, live music, and a climbing wall. There will be over 100 merchandise vendors at the event along with lots of festival food stands.
