Venture Crew 77 Collects Medical Equipment for Those in Need

On Saturday June 11th Venture Crew 77 kicked off its Operation Mobility project by collecting a variety of medical equipment ranging from crutches to bath seats. This collection took place behind the Hartley Dodge Memorial between 9-2pm. The equipment is now being stored at the Hartley Dodge for future repair and redistribution. 22 pieces of medical supplies were collected and over $50 was raised to cover repairs.

All of the equipment is to be used to benefit Madison citizens. If you are in need of equipment, or would like to donate, please email operationmobility@gmail.com.

Venture Crew #77 is a Boy Scout Unit for boys & girls ages 14 to 20 and sponsored by the Madison Elks Lodge #1465. All Crew events, both High-Adventure and Community-Based, are initiated, developed and implemented by the youth. The Crew supports Madison, Millburn, Short Hills, Chatham, Chatham Twp., Florham Park & Summit. Venture Crew #77 does many service projects like Operation Mobility, including Putting the Rose back in Rose City, Anti-Idling, and the upcoming Food Drive that will take place in the fall.
