Viscovich Base Hit in 7th Lifts Chatham Softball Over Morristown, 4-3

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Senior Caroline Viscovich's base hit drove across the winning run in the top of the seventh inning to give Chatham a 4-3 softball victory over Morristown on Monday.

The score was tied at 3-3 in the seventh inning when Anna Lengner drew a walk and Chatham coach Brian Figueiredo sent in Anya Raadam to pinch run. Raadam stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch before Viscovich drove her home.

Melissa Landry pitched the route to win it for Chatham (15-3), striking out six. Kelly Krincek had three hits and an RBI for the Lady Cougars, who received two hits and a run scored from Morgan Pellegrin and a base hit, a run and an RBI from Lengner.

Ada Patterson had three hits, a run scored and an RBI for Morristown (5-9).
