I voted No in last year’s $25 million school district referendum, but I am voting Yes ontomorrow’s scaled back $12 million proposal.
Our Board of Education, in extensive consultation with our community, has pared down the proposal to the most urgent and beneficial capital needs, in my opinion. The additional STEM space at Chatham Middle School is particularly important to our children, but so are the other additional classrooms, the Cougar Field improvements, the auditorium upgrades, and of course, the roof replacement.
I hope residents will vote Yes on all six of these projects tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 27.
