Walsh Wins High Jump at Racine Invitational


MADISON, NJ - Chatham's John Walsh placed first in the high jump and fourth in the 55-meter high hurdles at the Racine Invitational held Friday at Drew University.,

Walsh took the high jump with a leap of 5' 10" and ran 8.29 in the high hurdles. Also placing for Chatham was Dominic Vernazza, who was fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:04.72.

For the Chatham JV, Mark Kellstrom was first in the shot put with a heave of 32' 5"; Luke Malanga was fourth in the 800 in 2:23, and Nick Ferrone was first in the 55-meter dash in 7.15.

For the Freshman, Jaylen Haye won the freshman hurdles in 10.57, Erik Britt was fourth in 10.91 and Matt Stasiukevicius was sixth in 11.7.  Chris Schneider was fifth in the freshman 1600 in 5:19 for Chatham.

Milton Ave Brownie Troop 96312 assembled and donated over 30 sustainable lunches for Bridges Outreach on Tuesday, April 24th.
