To the Editor:
We have lived in Chatham longer than almost anybody -- Valerie was born and raised in Chatham and Bob moved to town in 1950. We have seen many decades of Chatham history, and we know a great candidate to lead Chatham when we see one. We have voted for Republicans most of our lives. This year we are putting partisan politics aside and voting for Thad Kobylarz for Mayor, because he has shown that he always has the best interests of the Borough uppermost in his mind, and he is committed to keeping Chatham "Chatham" while finding ways for our community to thrive in the twenty-first century.
Thad came around on a listening tour in 2017, and rang our bell even though we had a sign for a Republican candidate for a different office on our lawn. He wasn't angling for votes; he genuinely wanted to understand all Chatham residents' concerns and priorities. We were incredibly impressed with the way that Thad listened, asked questions, and followed up with his own research.
We voted for Thad for Borough Council in 2017. We are pleased with the progress he has already made in bringing new businesses into Chatham, and his plans to build on that success. We are pleased to see him at one community event after another, caring about everyone he represents. We hope on November 5 you will join us in voting for Thad Kobylarz, a true mayor for the people.
