STOCKHOLM, NJ - Thomas Winter's goal with two minutes left in the third period broke the tie and lifted Chatham to a 2-1 ice hockey victory over Kinnelon in its season opener Saturday at Skylands Ice World.

Sam Ortolani scored a short-handed goal off a pass from Evan Schmidt 2:34 into the third period to tie the game at 1-1 for Chatham.

Schmidt and Alex Laferriere were credited with assists on Winter's winning goal. Cougar goalie Jamie Boles made 28 saves.

Chatham's Meghan LeMon Awarded Degree from Miami University in Ohio

OXFORD, OH -- Meghan LeMon of Chatham was among more than 3,900 students from Miami University who received degrees during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Millett Hall.

LeMon graduated MAGNA with a BA degree, majoring in Speech Path & Audiology.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio.
