CHATHAM, NJ - The Woman's Club of Chatham retired from the community after more than 100 years of existence, holding its final luncheon at the Fairmount Country Club on Friday.

Over the course of its final year, woman's club president Terry Kandalaft and its members have been dispersing their funds to Chatham public service organizations such as the volunteer fire departments of both the township and borough, the Chatham Emergency Squad and the Library of the Chathams.

On Friday, the library received $75,000 from the woman's club for the creation of a teen room. That matched the previous donation by the woman's club of $75,000, making it a total of $150,000 donated to the library.
