Library Takeout Service Is Open – Now on Sundays, Too!

While the library is still closed to the public, you can request books and movies online or by phone and pick them up in the back foyer of the library.  The hours for pickup have been further extended to include Sundays – click on the link above for full details.  You can read the recent Letter from the Library Board of Trustees about the library’s reopening plan.

While the situation is constantly changing, Library Director Karen Brodsky holds weekly talks about the status of the library and its plans for reopening.  Friends of the Library officers and co-chairs of the Book Sale Debbie Fabian and Maureen Kelly will talk about the status of the annual Book Sale.

Local Real Estate Market and COVID-19

Tuesday, September 22 – 7 pm

Weichert Realtors’ brokers and Chatham residents Mary Weichert and John Tunny will discuss how COVID-19 has affected the local real estate market.  In this presentation they will speak about how urban millennials are taking an interest in suburban areas, creating a greater demand for homes in the local suburbs.  However, a shortage of homes for sale continues to challenge buyers.  Learn more about how recent events have created a market that can benefit both buyers and sellers.

Concert with Catmoondaddy

Wednesday, September 23 – 7 pm

What’s more fun than live music outdoors?  Catmoondaddy is a Central Jersey rock band that plays a wide repertoire of songs from the 60’s to the present.  The quartet is Al Radzik on vocals and guitar, Mike Mossa on bass and vocals, Walt Haakecreate on drums, and vocalist Carol Archdeacon.  Please join us on the side lawn of the library for a performance of popular music.  Bring a chair or a blanket to get comfortable, and remember to observe social distancing rules.
