Home delivery is now available!

If you are a Chatham resident who is homebound or cannot come to the library to pick up your books for health reasons, you can now have your items delivered.  Library staff and Friends of the Library volunteers will bring the books right to your door!  Please call the library at 973‑635‑0603 to set up home delivery.

Virtual "rooms" available for community groups

Chatham nonprofits and community groups:  Do you miss our meeting rooms?  We will host an online meeting for up to 100 people for your organization.  Email your request to librarian@chathamlibrary.org.

No overdue fines until the end of 2020

The Library Board has decided to extend the fine-free period to the end of 2020.  We still ask you to return your items by the due date to make them available to other patrons, but no overdue fines will be charged.

In Our Own Voice – a NAMI program

Tuesday, September 29 – 7 pm

Jay Yudof, MS, Certified Psychiatric Practitioner, and a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Recovery Programs Coordinator, will present In Our Own Voice.  NAMI In Our Own Voice presentations change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people with mental health conditions.  They provide a personal perspective of mental illness, as presenters with lived experience talk openly about what it’s like to live with a mental health condition.  To protect your privacy, you can attend the program without video, and ask your questions behind the screen or by chat.

Book Group: The Vanishing Half

The library's Book Group is back after the summer hiatus!  Join librarian Mary Kennedy for a virtual meeting of the library’s book group.  This month’s featured title is The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett.  Please call the library to reserve a copy of the book.
