Summit Old Guard

Established in 1979 ‘Healing the Children’ is perhaps the oldest and largest registered charitable organization focused single-mindedly on helping underserved children in the U.S. and throughout the world. Healing the Children is organized as an affiliation of separately incorporated local chapters (16 such chapters currently). For more than 30 years the New Jersey chapter has provided medical services for children in the U.S. and for those who are brought to New Jersey from around the world. Doctors, hospitals and host families are recruited to support those children. Rosemarie Gelber will speak about her experiences as a host parent and trip administrator for medical missions at the Summit Old Guard meeting on July 17. The meeting is held at the New Providence Municipal building and starts at 10.am
