Based on Governor Phil Murphy's Executive Orders, mass gatherings are not permitted for the foreseeable future, restricting future event planning. Therefore, we believe it is the responsible decision to cancel Chatham's 2020 Fishawack Festival.

While we are disheartened at the thought of a summer without this traditional event, we feel moving forward would be a risk to our participants and community, and seeking the monetary support it takes to hold the Festival is not in the best interest of our local business community who have had to deal with so many challenges and is not economically sound.

With 49 years of rich history and tradition behind Chatham's Fishawack Festival, we assure you this decision was not made lightly. However, health and safety for all is our top priority and we look forward to bringing you a fantastic festival in 2021.
