Legends Gallery will host “An American In Paris” on Wednesday, July 3. A one-woman show of former Chatham resident Kim Weissenborn’s watercolor paintings from France.

As a graduate from Chatham Township High School, this show is part of “Chatham’s Great Reunion - 2019” which also begins on July 3 and runs through the end of the month.

Weissenborn attended Parsons School of Design in Manhattan and received her BA in Fine Arts. Upon graduating, she began illustrating book covers, and children’s books.

Weissenborn continued to paint in watercolor. Her love of the face and figure inspired many portrait commissions. Combining her love for illustration and watercolor, she has just illustrated another children’s book called “Pansy at the Palace” available at  Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

Weissenborn lives in Vero Beach, Fla., where she teaches art to adults and children at the Vero Beach Museum.  Currently Kim splits her time in Paris, and Vero Beach.

On July 3, 2019, from 7-9 p.m. will be an opening reception for the artist. All are invited to come see these wonderful new paintings she has created while living in France.

The show will run from July 3 through July 31.

Legends Gallery is located at 257 Main St. in the center of town. All attending the Fourth of July parade are also welcome to come see the exhibit, as we will be open from 9:30 to 12:00.
