Two Chatham High School musicians recently performed with the New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) All-State Treble Choir. The singers were prepared by and sponsored through the audition process by Chatham High School Choral Director Ken Bryson.
Students attended competitive auditions in April to audition for the highly selective choral ensemble. Senior Taryn Roffina and junior Layla Clarke were successful in gaining membership into the prestigious ensemble for New Jersey’s top high school singers.
Their rehearsals over the last several months culminated in a performance on February 23rd at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) Prudential Hall.
This year’s program contained an array of challenging choral repertoire conducted by Dr. Lynnel Jenkins, Artistic Director of the Princeton Girlchoir.
