CHATHAM, NJ - Food and clear skies made the first Chatham Food Truck Festival the place to be in Chatham on Saturday.
The Cultural Committee of the Chathams was pleasantly surprised by the turnout for the first-ever event held in the parking lot of the Chatham Middle School, where trucks providing Sliders, Glazed/Confused doughnuts, Little Sicilian Rice Balls, Angry Archies crab cakes and lobster rolls, 100 percent Korean, Poke' Motion, Mexican, Thai, Perogies, Japanese and the Pita Bowl, to name a few.
There were 900 tickets sold in advance for the event, which Cultural Committee of the Chathams President Minati O'Connell (see video below) said will be held again next year.
In addition to the food trucks, there was a Mutt Hut, providing treats for the dog-friendly event. Live music and a play area for children added to the family atmosphere.
