CHATHAM, NJ - In the period between April 5 and April 9, Chatham Borough has reported an additional 14 confirmed Coronavirus cases. The report puts the borough number at 39.
Our Chatham Borough Health Officer was notified of fourteen (14) additional
residents that have tested positive (April 5-9) for the COVID-19 virus for a total of
thirty-nine (39) positive cases. For patient confidentiality purposes, specific
details will not be released. As is standard protocol, our health department is
monitoring and investigating the cases including contact tracing and notifying
appropriate parties. Self-quarantining protocols are in place.
As a reminder, residents should be staying home during the Governor’s Order. We
should all (including children) be continuing our own social distancing and other
guidelines to minimize community spread. We will continue to share information
on this and other cases when appropriate.
