CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham School District will receive $307,296 fewer dollars in state aid in Gov. Phil Murphy's announced revision. Even with the reduction, Chatham will still be receiving $143,144 more than a year ago.

Gov. Murphy reduced the state aid he had budgeted for in February because of the Coronavirus pandemic and its effect on the state budget. Chatham is one of 375 districts to get hit with reductions after budgets were adopted for the 2020-2021 school year.

Chatham received $2,999,890 in state aid last year and was targeted to receive $3,450,330 for 2020-2021. The revision drops the state aid for Chatham to 3,143,034,
