CHATHAM, NJ - Katherine Wang is the Chatham High Class of 2020 valedictorian and Veronica Quidore is the salutatorian, it was announced this week.

“I feel very honored and humbled to accept the title as valedictorian," Wang said. "These times of quarantine have helped me truly appreciate all of the resources CHS has had to offer - from teachers who are passionate about their subjects and supportive of new ideas, to classmates who foster a sense of collaboration and community, to faculty and staff who make the operation run smoothly.

"I'm grateful for all of their advice and support and hope that my efforts over the past four years serve as a testament to their excellence.”

“I am thrilled and honored to be the CHS Class of 2020 salutatorian," Quidore said. "Each day, I respect the opportunities granted to me and find joy and take pride in my studies. Fortunately, my teachers and peers encourage creativity, curiosity, and persistence which continue to prepare me for the journey ahead.”

Chatham High Principal Darren Groh said, “Congratulations to both Katherine and Veronica for earning valedictorian and salutatorian status, respectively. It is a tremendous accomplishment to have such consistency in their academic achievement over four years. I wish them both the best of luck in their future endeavors."
