Letter to the Editor,
Tuesday is Election Day. I want to thank the many volunteers and supporters who’ve rallied around the Ewald Fondaco campaign. I am truly humbled by their commitment and generosity. From envelope stuffing and door knocking to media outreach and campaign administration, our Ewald Fondaco team is a wonderful reflection of all that is great about Chatham Township.
I also want to thank the many residents who opened their doors and welcomed a conversation or took a door hanger. It was a pleasure meeting you and hearing about your concerns and priorities for our community. I hope I’ve helped to provide important information on the challenges the Township faces. Your insight and perspective were truly appreciated.
Tuesday will close out what has sometimes been a heated election season. I believe that it is crucial to our democracy to be able to have respectful conversations and share ideas from different points of view. I have been saddened to see negative campaigning from my opponents, attempting to pit residents against one another. At the end of the day, we all love the place we call home, where we’ve raised our children. Like so many in our community, I will always be committed to making Chatham Township the best it can be. And I look forward to working with my political opponents, my running mate and all of you to continue moving towards a stronger Chatham.
