CHATHAM, NJ - The Borough of Chatham Council will take precautions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus on Monday, March 23, when it holds it regular meeting.
According to Chatham Borough Mayor Thad Kobylarz, only he and council members Carolyn Dempsey and Bob Weber will be in physical attendance at the meeting in borough hall which has been moved up from 7:30 to 6 p.m. All other council members will participate from a remote location.
Chatham Borough Clerk Tamar Lawful and attorney Jim Lott will also be in attendance.

The meeting can be seen on Cablevision 21, Fios 32 or at Facebook Live @chathamboro.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Chatham will hold its Regular Meeting on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. (instead of 7:30 p.m.), Borough Hall – Council Chambers, 54 Fairmount Avenue, Chatham, New Jersey. Due to the pandemic of the Coronavirus and as per measures being taken by the State of New Jersey to limit the spread of the virus via Executive Order No. 104, and the Emergency Legislation by New Jersey State Legislature which permits public bodies to conduct meetings, and to provide notice, via electronic means during periods of emergency. To ensure the safety of all, during a state of emergency declared by New Jersey Governor, Phil Murphy, on March 9, 2020, to “contain the spread of COVID-19”, the Borough of Chatham will limit the public from physically attending the Mayor and Council meeting to be held on Monday, March 23, 2020, and to receive public comments by dialing in on 973- 635-0674 Ext. 220 for those who wish to make a public comment. The Mayor and Council meeting will be televised as usual. This measure is being taken out of precaution for the safety of all.
